Russian propagandists publish messages about Zelenskyy's alleged escape to sow panic and chaos, to show that ordinary Ukrainians are allegedly left to their own devices, and there is no government in Kyiv. Pro-Kremlin Telegram channels published the same information on February 24. At the beginning of March, propagandists released a deepfake video online, in which Zelenskyy allegedly talked about the surrender of Donbas and offered to lay down arms.
