Message The US is using Ukraine as a testing ground for weapons development and is incurring huge debts through the Lend-Lease Act

As the Center for Counteracting Disinformation writes, Russian propagandists circulated almost identical theses in content, expressed by former CIA officer Andrew Bustamante and Russian State Duma deputy from the temporarily occupied Sevastopol Dmytriy Belik. Bustamante said it's critical for Americans to protest their latest weapons in combat, and in Ukraine, that doesn't mean risking their own military. Bustamante also believes that Putin is winning the "conflict" despite the sanctions. Belik believes that in this way the United States is trying to test the combat effectiveness of the Russian army.

The specialists of the Center believe that the dissemination of these messages is the result of the recognition by the Ukrainian military of the coordination of possible targets in the use of American MLRS HIMARS and their combat effectiveness.

Russia has been systematically spreading the message that “Ukraine is being used as a weapons testing ground” to discredit Western military aid. Propagandists recently said that Germany is using Ukraine to test weapons. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz allegedly let slip about this.

Fake Ukraine will no longer receive American MLRS HIMARS and missiles for them

Russian media are spreading such news with reference to US Department of Defense spokesman Colin Kohl. It is not true.

The Russians again distorted the words of the American official, in fact, Colin Cole did not say this. According to StopFake, US Deputy Secretary of Defense Colin Kohl noted during a briefing that the United States will continue to help Ukraine resist Russia's unjustified invasion. He also said that the assistance will take into account the actual needs of the Ukrainian army in the battlefield. Answering a question about future deliveries of HIMARS to Ukraine, Kol noted that the Ukrainians are doing a good job with the number of systems that the Americans and other countries have already provided. Now, according to the official, the priority is to provide the Ukrainians with enough ammunition to keep them fighting. There are no any questions about termination of deliveries of HIMARS systems to Ukraine. Allies of Ukraine only note that their number is now assessed as sufficient, and ammunition for them is a priority.

Message Ukrainians seek to hold referendums in the territories "liberated" by Russia

Russian media write about this with reference to the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmytriy Peskov. Like, it's not Russia holding a referendum, but local residents. Thus, the Kremlin is trying to legalize the processes in the occupied territories.

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine is the business of the entire Ukrainian people, and issues of changing the territory of Ukraine are resolved exclusively by an all-Ukrainian referendum. Ukrainian law prohibits holding elections or referendums during martial law. Any attempt to hold a referendum in the temporarily occupied territories is illegal and violates international law. The decision on the ownership of Ukrainian territories can be made and recognized by other states only if all the norms of the current Ukrainian legislation are observed.

Message Ukrainians rejoice that war has come to Crimea

This is written in anonymous telegram channels. Like, if Crimea is Ukraine, then how, after such joy, to return these territories.

Explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea on August 9 at the military airfield in Novofedorovka. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the fire at the Saki airbase was caused by the detonation of several aircraft projectiles, allegedly due to a violation of fire safety requirements. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that it could not establish the cause of the fire. That is, neither Ukraine nor Russia recognized any military operations on the territory of the military airfield, which is under the control of infidels.

Information about the explosions at the airport really caused a strong reaction on social networks. However, emotions were caused primarily by significant losses of the enemy. Yurii Ihnat, a representative of the Air Force command, said on the air of the national telethon on August 10 that a composition of aviation weapons and about a dozen aircraft that systematically patrolled the airspace on the territory of Ukraine were destroyed at the airfield in the occupied Crimea.

Fake The activities of biolaboratories led to an outbreak of African swine fever in Ukraine

Russian collaborators spread information about record outbreaks of this disease in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. Also, allegedly, the activity of biolaboratories is associated with an increase in the incidence of the thyroid gland among the inhabitants of this region. It is not true.

There is no large-scale outbreak of African swine fever in Ukraine. In 2022, cases of this disease were registered among animals in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad and Sumy regions. In June-July 2022, new cases were only in Sumy and Kirovohrad regions. According to the fact checker VoxCheck, according to the statistics of the incidence of African swine fever since 2012 in the first 7 months of 2022, it does not differ from previous indicators. The African plague virus is dangerous only for domestic and wild pigs. Currently, the disease is periodically recorded in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific regions. This virus is not transmitted to humans and is safe for human health.

In May 2020, the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that over the past 5 years, the number of thyroid diseases has increased 5 times. This indicator depends on the external environment, iodine deficiency, lifestyle, stress, nutrition, concomitant diseases. The Center also reported that a high percentage of the risk of thyroid problems is inherited. However, there is no link between the African plague virus and thyroid disease.

Fake Ukraine has declared default

Anonymous telegram channels write about this with reference to the global rating agencies S&P and Fitch. They say that only "official default" awaits Ukraine, that is, "bankruptcy". It is not true.

Ukraine has not declared a default. Due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, there have indeed been significant changes in the state budget of Ukraine. This is stipulated, in particular, by the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law”. The main priority during this period is the defense industry. According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, after negotiations, the investors agreed to defer payments.

“Thanks to the solidarity with Ukraine of the private investor community, together with the official public sector, we will be able to meet the needs of the country’s state budget at war and keep our public finances stable,” said Ukraine’s Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.

According to Bloomberg, the restructuring process is supported by Ukraine's key allies, including the United States and the International Monetary Fund. The international community understands that Ukraine is now defending itself against a much larger and richer aggressor, so it needs substantial financial support and assistance.

Disclosure The occupiers created a fake company "GUP "Khersonoblenergo", which is located in Moscow

The board of the joint-stock company "Khersonoblenergo" (JSC), operating in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, reported that again the organization has nothing to do with the distribution system operator "Khersonoblenergo" JSC and draws funds from consumers in the Kherson region. Both the newly created company and its website are located in Moscow. The Ukrainian company also reminded that all electricity supplied to the Kherson region is supplied exclusively from the territory of Ukraine and must be paid exclusively to Ukrainian accounts.
