Fake Ukraine is an "American commercial company"; social networks spread such information

It is evidenced by the fact that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is allegedly "listed in the register of private companies of the USA"; therefore, Ukraine can't be considered a state.

Fact-checkers from StopFake found out that the name "Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" really appears in the electronic database of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Whereas in 2009, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, represented by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, acted as a guarantor of the state company Naftogaz of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has been assigned CIK number 1472775. The abbreviation CIK stands for "The Central Index Key," i.e., the central index key issued by the US Securities and Exchange Commission to identify a natural or legal entity. It doesn't mean that the organization is private. With the help of this key, you can identify the person or organization that participated in the deal and get acquainted with its tender offers.

Fake The training of NATO countries on nuclear deterrence "is moving the world towards war," it is claimed in the Russian media

The exercises allegedly have an anti-Russian orientation. The annual Steadfast Noon exercise on nuclear deterrence using strategic bombers will last from October 17 to 30. They don't pose any threat to Russia. These exercises aren't related to current events in the world, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization emphasizes.

The military maneuvers of the Alliance are routine, and NATO announced the holding of these exercises in advance, and third countries were also notified about the maneuvers in advance. Steadfast Noon is a regular annual nuclear deterrence exercise in which dozens of aircraft from across the Alliance practice defending NATO's European allies rather than attacking third countries. By spreading such "news," Russian propaganda tries to justify threats of a nuclear attack in Ukraine and demonstrate that Russia doesn't wage a war of aggression against Ukraine but is defending itself against NATO aggression. More details.

Disclosure On the Telegram began a phishing attack: "There is information about you too"

Ukrainians started receiving pirated messages in Telegram, which users shouldn't open in any way.

The messages refer to a bot that allegedly finds hidden data and photos of people: "There is information about you too. See by yourself." If you follow the link, there will be another link, and the account will be hacked, after which a message about the bot will be sent on behalf of the user to five of his friends.

As fact-checkers from "NotaYenota" noted, phishing attacks were widespread on Facebook during the New Year holidays, when users receiving messages from friends "Tse ty na video" massively followed the specified link and became victims.

Phishing is a type of cyber fraud. The purpose of phishing is to gain access to your logins, passwords, bank cards, and other confidential information by deception. If such actions are aimed at many users (of a specific institution, for example, a bank or country), then such actions are called phishing attacks. Phishing messages are aimed at emotions because the weakest link in the system is a person.

Manipulation Russia was allowed to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine; in return, there would be no nuclear response

Pro-Kremlin bloggers write about this in Telegram channels concerning EU High Representative Josep Borrell. In his statements, he confirmed that the EU countries wouldn't allegedly strike back in the same way if there was a nuclear attack on Ukraine. Therefore, according to propagandists, such words are the so-called permission for Russia to use nuclear weapons. Propagandists take quotes out of context and don't emphasize that; in fact, Josep Borrell said that the response of Ukraine's partners would destroy the Russian army if there were a nuclear attack.

"Any attack against Ukraine will find a response, not a nuclear response, but one so powerful that, from a military point of view, the Russian army will be annihilated, and Putin won't need to bluff," said Josep Borrell.

He emphasized that the European Union and its member states, the United States and NATO, don't bluff but are determined to "demonstrate full determination."

Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has resorted to nuclear blackmail to stop international support for Ukraine and to induce Ukraine to negotiate on the Kremlin's terms. One of the functions of such messages is intimidation. If Russia's demands aren't met, Russia will allegedly strike. This time, the nuclear messages appeared against the background of defeats of the Russian army on the front lines. By spreading the message that Russia was allegedly allowed to carry out a nuclear attack on Ukraine, the propaganda seeks to discredit those countries and associations that support Ukraine in the fight against Russia. Propagandists create the appearance of so-called impunity for Russia, as if it can do whatever it wants with Ukraine without punishment.

Message Ukrainians are Russians who have become ill and brutalized

It is the opinion spread by Russian propagandists in the media and Telegram channels.

The main characteristic of Ukrainians should supposedly be the Ukrainian language, but no one communicates in it, except on television. It can be seen in the video during the Russian attack on Kyiv by kamikaze drones when people reacted by speaking Russian and using Russian profanity.

The thesis that Ukrainians are "sick" and "possessed" Russians has been spreading since at least the beginning of April 2022. As "Detector Media" already recorded, Tymofiy Sergeitsev, propagandist and author of the plan for "denazification" of Ukraine for 25 years, believes that Ukrainians don't exist, but only "malorosy" or simply sick Russians. Moreover, separatist Pavlo Gubarev called for the killing of several million Ukrainians "until they understand that they are sick and need to be treated."

Thus, propagandists justify Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine and motivate Russians to go with weapons to "treat" Ukrainians. More details.

Message Russia is not fighting at full capacity, but it will start soon

In this way, pro-Russian bloggers on social networks intimidate Ukrainians. Soon, the regrouping of the Russian army will allegedly take place in all directions, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive. As a result, Ukraine is allegedly facing defeat, which will be called "the turning point in the war of 2022".

Such messages are spread by pro-Russian bloggers in Telegram channels drawing their conclusions from the news that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China calls on its citizens in Ukraine to evacuate immediately because Ukraine "has a serious security situation.

China is an ally of Russia, and therefore, allegedly, "Moscow could have warned Beijing about its future actions."

Every time the Russian army suffers heavy losses and withdraws from the occupied territories of Ukraine, propagandists change the subject and resort to intimidation, spreading messages about regrouping, an upcoming offensive, and another attack.

The Russian army allegedly previously fought at half strength, and soon new forces will be brought up, and they will not allow any more retreats.

Fake The Embassy of Serbia in Ukraine was urgently closed

Such information appeared in the Russian media the other day. Russia's closest ally in Europe is allegedly closing its embassy in Kyiv due to danger. Subsequently, the Ukrainian media spread the mass "dumping."

The "news" allegedly said that official Belgrade was recalling diplomatic mission employees "for security reasons" from Kyiv and calling on Serbs to leave the territory of Ukraine. In fact, Serbian diplomats left Ukraine in March. It was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

"Employees of the Embassy of Serbia left Ukraine at the beginning of March. Since then, Serbian diplomats continue to work from Belgrade," Oleg Nikolenko said in a comment to "European Truth."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia announced on March 3 that the embassy was temporarily closed. The diplomatic and consular mission employees were evacuated to Belgrade, where they continue to perform their duties.

The news about the closure of the Serbian embassy was spread in the information space deliberately to create the impression of increased threats to Kyiv.

Fake In Kyiv, a man with a rifle "hunted" kamikaze drones from a balcony

This photo was shared on Ukrainian social networks. Today, October 17, the Russians attacked the center of Kyiv with Iranian kamikaze drones, but they were shot down by the Ukrainian military, not by Kyiv residents, from their apartments. Air defense eliminated 11 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. The photo of a man with a rifle that was shared on social media was taken in June 2021.

Then the patrol police of Kyiv detained an armed inhabitant of the apartment and seized substances similar to drugs.

This fake photo was uploaded to Ukrainian social networks by Russian propagandists. The purpose of this message was to show that Kyiv is unprotected from drones, the situation is uncontrolled, and civilians with rifles act as an anti-drone dome over the capital of Ukraine. Thus, the propagandists are trying to ridicule the Ukrainian army and demonstrate the almightiness of the Russian occupiers.
