In the Russian segment of social networks, information is being spread that in Ukraine they have started issuing vouchers for sapper training to people with disabilities, supposedly “sending them to fight”. It's a lie.

The VoxCheck analysts took up this case and informed that in October 2023, the Ukrainian State Employment Service increased the list of professions and specialties for which one  can receive a voucher, that is, payment for training. The list, in particular, includes the profession of sapper. And, in fact, training vouchers will be issued to specific people, for example, persons with disabilities. Other categories of citizens can receive a training voucher: internally displaced persons (IDPs), participants in combat operations (UCD), people injured as a result of war, etc.

Moreover, we are talking specifically about humanitarian demining, which takes place outside the combat zone. This is a long-term process aimed at creating a safe living environment for civilian residents. Military demining, on the contrary, is carried out directly in the combat zone. For example, when the enemy retreats, military sappers are already doing this.

Some Ukrainian media have spread information that in Ukraine in November it seems they can turn off the lights even without Russian attacks on energy facilities. Journalists refer to Serhii Nahorniak, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy Issues. It's fake.

The case was studied by the fact-checkers of the Center for Strategic Communications. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine denied this information. “Shutdowns are possible only in case of massive enemy shelling and, as a result, damage to energy equipment”, the Ministry of Energy said in a statement. They also emphasize that “the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is quite sufficient to meet the needs of consumers”.

Previously, Detector Media refuted the fake news that power outage schedules would be introduced in Ukraine starting October 1.

A fake page of Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi appeared on the Telegram channel. Zaluzhnyi himself reported this on his verified Telegram channel: “I received information that someone, using my name, is sending personal messages to certain famous people with requests and proposals of a discreditable and provocative nature”.

The case was studied by the fact-checkers of the Center for Strategic Communications. Valerii Zaluzhnyi also noted: “The Zaluzhniy_ua account on Telegram does not belong to me, like any other accounts under the name Valerii Zaluzhnyi. They are all fake”.

The official pages of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are on Facebook and the social network X, formerly known as Twitter.

By spreading disinformation through the fake account of Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Russian propagandists are trying to discredit the Commander-in-Chief and sow panic and despondency among the Ukrainian people.

Anonymous telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric are distributing a video in which Ukrainian first-graders allegedly march to the song “We’re killing Russianns” on Knowledge Day. Russian propaganda also states that the subject Defense of Ukraine is designed to instill in children neo-Ukrainian ideology and hatred of Russians. It's fake.

The case was investigated by the fact-checker of the VoxCheck project. They found the original video, dated September 2, 2022, and featuring a different song. That is, Russian propaganda edited the video and superimposed the song “We’re killing the Russians” on it.

Regarding the subject Defense of Ukraine - it has long existed in the school curriculum and until February 26, 2020 it was called Motherland Defense. This subject aims to provide schoolchildren with knowledge to defend Ukraine. The updated program contains information on the provision of pre-medical care, terrain orientation, and mine safety. As stated in the Ministry of Education and Science: “And the skills of controlling UAVs are used by videographers, surveyors, archaeologists and many specialists in their professional activities”.

This is a continuation of the narrative promoted by Russian propagandists that Nazism reigns in Ukraine, to which children are taught from childhood, and the Russians are supposedly trying to save Ukrainians. Thus, Russia is trying to justify a full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory. Previously, we refuted the fake that in the Azov children's camp children read Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.

Anonymous telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric are disseminating information that representatives of the Hamas group allegedly recorded a video thanking Volodymyr Zelenskyi for the transferred weapons, which help resist Israel. It's fake.

Fact-checkers at the Center for Countering Disinformation analyzed the video and determined that it was fake. It is this video that is being distributed by Russian propaganda resources and fake foreign accounts, the time and place of filming are unknown. Moreover, the video cannot be verified because Hamas representatives have their faces covered.

Thus, Russian propaganda is trying to discredit the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and reduce the assistance of Western partners. This is a continuation of the disinformation campaign about Ukrainian weapons in the hands of Hamas. Previously, Detector Media refuted the fake that Ukraine sells weapons to Hamas and debunked the fake that Hamas militants use weapons from Mukachevo.

Pro-Kremlin media are disseminating information that the summit regarding the Ukrainian Peace Formula in Malta allegedly became a failure for Ukraine. Russian propaganda refers to an article by Bloomberg. It is not true.

The case was examined by the fact-checkers from the Center for Strategic Communications and the BezBrekhni (No Lies) project. In fact, at the summit held in Malta, working groups were created on practical issues. Moreover, thanks to the help of Qatar, several Ukrainian children have already been returned home.

The Center for Countering Disinformation notes that the number of countries that took part in the summit in Malta increased from 15 (at the negotiations in Copenhagen) and 42 (in Jeddah) to 66 states and international organizations. The summit was attended by representatives of the USA, EU, UK, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil and India. That is, it destroys the Russian myth about Ukraine losing the support of the Global South.

Moreover, at the summit for the first time it was possible to adopt a document in which, as a result of these meetings, the intention to convene a Global Summit at the level of the leaders of the countries participating in the Peace Formula was confirmed. The global summit will be held to ensure that state leaders approve all the provisions of the Ukrainian peace formula.

Thus, Russian propagandists are trying to devalue the results of the Malta summit, discredit Western countries and promote the narrative that Ukraine needs negotiations with Putin for the sake of peace. As for Bloomberg journalists, they do not have enough information to correctly assess the results of the summit - this is what makes them advantageous for Russian propagandists.
