Manipulation Ukraine receives only 15% of the $ 40 billion in US assistance

Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has spread fake information that Ukraine will receive only 15% of the $ 40 billion allocated by the United States to help Ukraine. Most of the money will go to the United States and other countries - but Ukrainians will have to return all 40 billion US dollars.

In fact, it is not the case: indeed, $ 6 billion - or 15% of the total - will go directly to the Ukrainian army. And, for example, more than 8 billion - to restore weapons stockpiles for the US Army itself, which has already handed over a lot of equipment to Ukraine. But other programs for which the United States allocates 40 billion are humanitarian aid, including refugees from Ukraine to the United States and other European countries; these are funds for stabilizing inflation, economic recovery, etc. You can read in detail what the funds will be allocated for this assistance here. And all these programs, in different ways, help Ukraine and Ukrainians - both in the country and abroad. Another part will go to strengthening NATO troops in Europe.

Volodin's manipulation was spread by many Russian media simultaneously, claiming that this assistance would need to be returned. However, this is an aid, not a lend-lease - a program of a simplified system of purchasing weapons for Ukraine in the United States. It means that you will need to return the money - just later, not at the time of purchase and delivery.

Manipulation The dismissal of Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova proves that the Russian military did not rape children, women, and men

Fact-checkers from Myth Detector noticed the spread of similar posts on Facebook. They write that Denisova was allegedly fired for lying about Russian children, women, and men raped by Russians. It is a fake and a manipulation. The ombudsman was fired for several reasons, including that she had few members of the humanitarian corridors and did not fully perform her duties. Denisova considers her dismissal illegal and links it to political reasons. Human rights activists also call her release unlawfully.

Human rights activists and media critics criticized Denisova's work, including her reports of raped children. According to those who signed the open letter to Denisova, she abused the details and details, which, firstly, could re-injure the victims, and secondly, could help identify them. They also demanded that Denisova provide the data she owns to the police so law enforcement officers could start court cases or disseminate less information about crimes that have not yet been proven. The public conflict also affected Denysova's daughter, Oleksandra Kvitko: she works on the psychological helpline of the Ukrainian Parliament's Commissioner for Human Rights, especially with victims of sexualized violence. She wrote a lot on social media about her clients, which led to accusations of violating professional ethics.

In any case, Denisova's dismissal is not evidencing that the Russian occupiers did not rape Ukrainians. It is evidenced by numerous articles in Ukrainian and foreign media that spoke with victims and witnesses and the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, which investigates more than 11,000 cases of Russian war crimes in Ukraine, including rape. The case of one rapist and murderer has already been sent to court.

Manipulation Kherson region finally gained access to water - and began sowing

Collaborator Sergey Shvaika, who calls himself the "military-civil administration of the Skadovsk district," said that the Kherson region has finally received water, and farmers have started sowing.

According to StopFake, it is another manipulation within the general narrative of the Kremlin propaganda. For many years, after the closure of the Crimean Canal, farms in the Kherson region suffered from a lack of water. It is not the case because the Canal did not supply water only to Crimea all these years. In the Kherson region, he worked as usual.

In addition, according to the fact-checkers, sowing did not start not because of the lack of water in the area but because of the occupation and hostilities that hindered the start of work. Wheat is usually sown in March and April.

Fake Ukraine will fire at Russia from American systems of volley fire from Shostka

It was stated at a regular briefing by the head of the National Center for Defense Management, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev. It is alleged the Ukrainian military plans are to deploy US MRL directly in the city of Shostka in the Sumy region and fire on Russia's border areas to "provoke a response and then accuse the Russian Armed Forces of indiscriminately shelling civilians and infrastructure."

In fact, American MRL will finally come to Ukraine - and plan to use it where they are needed now - on the front lines to resist Russian invaders. At the same time, there is no point in "provoking" the occupiers' fire from anywhere - they have already fired on Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and other Ukrainian cities many times, destroying Mariupol, Popasna, Rubizhne, and almost all of Sievierodonetsk. The whole world sees Russia's indiscriminate bombing and shelling of residential neighborhoods, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and the shelling of evacuation vehicles and railway stations. Russia is violating all the rules of war, and experts have already acknowledged that Russians are involved in the genocide of Ukrainians. That is why Mizintsev's statement is another fake of military propaganda to convince its population that the Russians are not killing civilians in Ukraine and have not started an aggressive war.

Fake The bayraktar, which the Lithuanians bought for Ukraine, was shot down in the air in 3.5 minutes

In many posts, social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, said that the Bayraktar drone was shot down 3.5 minutes after its use. It was bought for 5 million euros collected by concerned Lithuanians. It is an outright fake that is easy to refute: the drone is not yet in Ukraine. The founder wrote it of the crowdfunding initiative on Laisves TV journalist and public figure Andrius Tapinas who actually announced the fundraising campaign.

"Unfortunately, we see sad news. Russian propaganda on social media spreads the message that our Bayraktar was already shot down and was in the air for only 3.5 minutes. The ability to shoot down an unmanned aerial vehicle that has not yet been purchased and is in the factory requires incredible anti-aircraft artillery, " he wrote, ironically. He added a few more details: almost 200,000 people were transferred funds from Lithuania in three days. Then, when it turned out that the Turkish manufacturer would make a gift to Ukraine and provide one drone for free - Lithuanian organizers decided to arm this gift for 1.5 million euros. And the amount that remained in the accounts, and where the funds are still coming, to transfer to the aid of the Ukrainian army. A campaign to choose a name for the drone is currently underway on the journalist's Facebook page.

Fact-checkers from StopFake: "The first reports of the beating of the bayraktar appeared in late May, before the end of the crowdfunding campaign."

Message Ukraine and the West are artificially creating famine on the planet

Researchers from the EU vs Disinfo project analyzed the fakes and manipulations of the food crisis created and spread by the Russian propaganda machine, which is actively involved in the media and among MPs and diplomats. Numerous lies about the fact that the "West and Ukraine" artificially create famine in the world can be presented in three theses:

1) The food crisis began with sanctions imposed on Russia.

2) Ukraine itself blocks and mines its ports, promoting famine.

3) Ukraine sells grain for weapons, and Russia, on the contrary, prevents famine in Ukraine.

Of course, this is all a lie. The sanctions imposed on Russia do not relate to food and grain exports. Russia is blocking the export of grain from Ukraine by ships because it blocks ports in the Black Sea and does not provide security guarantees for the passage of ships with grain. Ukraine does not trade or exchange grain for weapons - on the contrary, it transports grain to European ports or sells it. The war prevented sowing, and the Russians sighting bombed stores and bases of petroleum materials needed to begin sowing. Finally, Russia is only exacerbating the food crisis and the situation in Ukraine by stealing grain, agricultural machinery, and even ships in ports where it exports and sells stolen grain to other countries. Both Putin and his diplomats have already made it clear that they are ready to supply more products to countries that have begun to suffer from declining grain exports during the war in exchange for lifting sanctions. Indeed, Russia is blackmailing everyone with global hunger, but its propaganda tries to twist everything.

Fake Bulgaria has admitted that it was a mistake to give up on Russian gas and plans to change its mind

Russian propaganda media spread the news based on an interview with Bulgarian Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov, who allegedly complained that the decision to refuse to pay in rubles for gas was too ill-considered and hasty, and now Bulgaria wants to overturn its decision. He also complained that the gas Bulgaria bought from the United States was too expensive.

According to Russian fact-checkers, Nikolov did not say this in an interview. On the contrary, the Minister of Energy stated that Bulgaria bought American gas cheaper than Russian. He also spoke about the use of gas as a tool of influence and the prospects for resuming negotiations with Gazprom on gas purchases:

At the same time, firstly, Russia is at war and an aggressor in this war; secondly, a particular company "Gazprom" is used as a political tool to create tension, and thirdly, in the commercial part, the most unpleasant - the fact that Russia is unpredictable partner, I do not think it makes sense to comment on whether to hold further negotiations with the company, " said Nikolov. It is not the first time Russian propaganda has deliberately lied about Bulgaria. Earlier, she had spread a fake that Bulgaria had decided to evict Ukrainian refugees.
