Fake Ukraine has introduced a new tax on the import of generators

Russian media write about it. Like, in Ukraine, against the background of the energy crisis caused by Russian missile strikes on the country's energy infrastructure, a new 30% tax was introduced on the import of generators from abroad. Netizens comment that it is not a sin for “sincere patriots” in power to make money on the complicated circumstances of people. This is not true.

As StopFake writes, the Government of Ukraine has not introduced a new tax as the norm on taxation of goods imported into Ukraine over 500 euros has existed since at least 2012. Moreover, due to the energy crisis caused by Russian missile strikes against Ukraine's infrastructure, on November 8, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the government had decided to abolish import taxes on generators, transformers, batteries, etc.

Fake Britain plans to cut aid to Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees

Such news is spread on social networks and propaganda media. Reports say British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is allegedly planning to cut aid to Ukraine and its refugees. Propagandists refer to the British edition of the Daily Mail, which allegedly wrote that because of the budget deficit in the country a high-ranking official plans to cut aid. However, this is not true.

According to experts from the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, UK assistance to Ukraine is still ongoing. In particular, the sponsorship scheme "House for Ukrainians" is functioning. If the number of refugees increases, the country may make changes to the program, but they are not going to stop it.

Message Ukrainian language is artificial

The language issue is one of the key reasons for the manipulation of Russian propaganda. More often, messages in the Ukrainian language are promoted with a negative emotional connotation. Like, the Ukrainian language is “funny”, “village”, “artificially created”, etc.

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation has published a number of the most common fakes in the Ukrainian language. Particularly, Russian propaganda often writes that the language allegedly does not matter, that Russian and Ukrainian are the most related languages. Allegedly, speech does not affect national and cultural identity.

In fact, linguistic oppression has been one of the main instruments of Russia's struggle against Ukraine for centuries. The Ukrainian language is an original, natural Slavic language. It has never been artificial, moreover, when forming the literary Ukrainian language, they tried in every possible way to avoid artificial constructions. Dialects of the Ukrainian language have never been dialects of Russian.

According to a survey in February 2022, 56% of Ukrainians named the Ukrainian language of everyday communication, and almost 68% named Ukrainian as their mother tongue. Russian aggression against Ukraine has contributed to the fact that more and more Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine are abandoning Russian and switching to communication in Ukrainian.

Message Zelenskyi will use a "dirty bomb" if the US asks for it

This is the message Russian propaganda is spreading to foreign audiences. Like, Zelensky will take this step, even if it destroys his country. Allegedly, Zelenskyi is a puppet of the United States, doing what Washington requires of him, he is “indifferent to everything”, he is a “genuinely mean character.”

Message Export of Ukrainian grain does not affect world prices

Like, the importance of Ukrainian grain for the world is exaggerated. The share of Ukraine's grain exports in world consumption is insignificant, and this cannot seriously affect prices. Such messages are spread by Russian propaganda.

The fact-checkers of EU vs Disinfo drew attention to the spread of the message. In fact, Ukraine is one of the largest grain producers in the world. In fact, Ukraine accounts for 10% of the world wheat market, 15% of the corn market and 13% of the barley market. Ukraine is also the main producer of sunflower oil.

Suspension of grain deliveries as a result of Russia's blockade of Ukrainian ports led to a rapid increase in grain prices. By mid-May, export prices for wheat and corn reached unprecedented heights. Prices fell after the signing of a grain agreement between Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and the UN and the unblocking of the Black Sea for Ukrainian grain exports.

Fake Enterprises of Zaporizhzhia fell under EU sanctions

Russian media write about this with reference to the words of collaborator Rohov. They say that as a result of new EU sanctions, enterprises located in the part of the Zaporizhzhia region controlled by Ukraine also “suffer from sanctions”. Allegedly, after the introduction of the 8th package of EU sanctions, European banks refuse to transfer money to companies and entrepreneurs from Zaporizhzhia, explaining this by the fact that the Zaporizhzhia region is included in the sanctions list. Rohov says that supposedly EU officials know something about the future of the city of Zaporizhzhia and have already come to terms with the fact that this is Russia. This is not true.

The new package of sanctions adopted by the European Union against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, refers to a ban on the import of goods from non-government-controlled parts of the regions. In particular, a ban was introduced on imports from the temporarily occupied regions of the Zaporizhzhia region. The European Union continues to constantly support the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

According to StopFake, the EU has approved extending the ban on the import of goods from non-government controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions to non-government controlled areas of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. We are not talking about individual enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, as well as about enterprises located in the controlled areas of these regions. The sanctions refer only to a ban on the import of goods from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
