Russian users of social networks spread information that the red paint used in the lake near the Russian embassy in Vilnius is allegedly harmful for the ecosystem of the reservoir. In fact, the paint is not harmful to animals or plants. The action was held on April 6 in Vilnius to draw attention to the crimes of Russia in Ukraine.

According to VoxCheck, a representative of the police of Vilnius district, Julia Zamorokovska, reported that the protest had been coordinated with the environmental inspectors. The representative of Vilnius municipality Paulius Vaitekenas also confirmed that the paint does not harm the ecosystem of the lake. The paint used for the protest was similar to the paint used on St. Patrick's Day, when the waters of the Vilnius River (Vilniale) are painted green.
