Information is being spread online that a new “Women’s Day” campaign has appeared in Ukrainian gyms. It seems that only women and men with homosexual orientation are allowed to train on such promotional days, and the trainers are representatives of the LGBT community. As evidence, they add advertisements from Instagram of one of the fitness clubs in Zhytomyr, SportFit.

“Is this really the Europe that people were so eager to get to?”, propagandists comment.

VoxCheck analysts determined that there is no announcement on the Instagram page of the SportFit fitness club about holding promotional “Women’s Days”. In the propaganda note you can see the date on which the announcement was supposedly published - April 10. The gym's page posted only one message that day and not a single so-called announcement.

Russian propaganda presents any attempts by Ukraine to create a tolerant environment as a threat to the younger generation. Allegedly, children suffer from the dominance of “Sodom”, which, according to the Kremlin, is turning Ukrainians into homosexuals. Social networks in the Russian segment are disseminating information that the Ukrainian bank Monobank has sent out a warning to users about limiting a number of financial transactions for “evaders” - that is, individuals who may evade mobilization.

As “proof”, the fake robs attached a screenshot from the phone that allegedly received such a message.

This case was investigated by StopFake specialists, who determined that the Ukrainian bank Monobank did not send clients notifications about restrictions for “evaders”.

Moreover, in a comment to StopFake, bank representatives denied sending such messages. In addition, the text of the message itself was compiled with numerous errors and inaccuracies.

In Russia, the participation of the Russian military in the war against Ukraine is called “heroism”. The so-called “heroes” illegally cross the border of another state, occupy part of it, thereby allegedly “liberating Ukraine from the Nazis”. They kill Ukrainian civilians, rape, and loot. At the same time, it is precisely such actions that are presented in Russian propaganda as “heroism”.

In addition, the Russian military receives state awards for this. Thus, Putin, for example, noted the “heroism and courage” of the 64th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Ground Forces, which carried out a massacre in the city of Bucha, Kyiv region. The head of the Kremlin gave this brigade the name “Guards” for “heroism and courage, steadfastness and courage shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to defend the fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts”.

Also in Russia, children are raised by promoting the cult of war and cultivating their willingness to imitate the “heroism” of the participants in the Russian-Ukrainian war. That is, in this way, there is a legitimation of the occupation, encouragement to violate the laws and customs of war, and the commission of actions that international justice regards as war crimes. This is evidenced, for example, by special ideological lessons, in particular, “Conversations about what is important” and the so-called “Lessons of Courage”; cadet classes; opening memorial plaques in schools to Russian soldiers who died in the war against Ukraine; opening of the “heroes' desks”.

In particular, the rhetoric about the “heroism” of Russian “liberators” is intended to justify the war crimes of the Russian army, to give this war a different, righteous content.

Russian media write that the head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, allegedly paid $27 million for a place in Time’s ranking of the 100 most influential people in the world. As evidence, propagandists cite a short video from BBC News, where they broadcast the results of the Bellingcat investigation. It's a lie.

StopFake analysts found that neither Bellingcat nor BBC News reported that the official’s place in the ranking was obtained through corruption. This is proven by a banal search on the websites of both media.

This is not the first time that propagandists have referred to Bellingcat to give their words credibility, despite the fact that this organization is recognized as a “foreign agent” and “undesirable” in Russia, and propagandists regularly accuse the investigators of political bias and manipulation.

In the Russian segment of social networks they add that in Ukraine they do not sell medicines without a reference from Territorial centers of procurement and social support. In their publications, the authors refer to the so-called new norms of the law on mobilization. It's a lie.

VoxCheck analysts write that the law signed on April 16, 2024 does not refer to restrictions on the purchase of goods, including medicines, without presenting military registration documents or updating data at Territorial centers of procurement and social support.

That is, in the law on mobilization there is no information that men will not be able to purchase medications at a pharmacy without a reference from the Territorial centers of procurement and social support. VoxCheck specialists asked the largest pharmacies in Ukraine whether they really do not sell medicines without such a certificate. The Podorozhnyk pharmacy chain responded that they act in accordance with current legislation, that is, they provide medicines to everyone in need. So the Russians’ statements are just part of the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign to intimidate Ukrainians and discredit the healthcare system in Ukraine.
