The propagandists distribute images that allegedly show an ad on OLX for renting out an apartment. According to it, “in case of the transfer of the city's territories to the jurisdiction of another state, the tenant is obliged to fulfill his obligations in full in accordance with the current lease agreement. A unique opportunity to move to Europe in one day without leaving your apartment!” The authors of messages with images in social networks add that they say that this indicates the imminent occupation of the western lands of Ukraine by Poland. It's fake.

VoxCheck analysts drew attention to it. They found the ads through the Internet Archive. The author posted it on the announcement platform on January 30 this year. At the moment, it is no longer on OLX, as well as on other platforms for finding rental properties. There are many inaccuracies in the ad itself, which is also a sign of its fakeness, in particular, the eighth floor is indicated in its text, and the second in the categories from OLX. The poster's author registered on the site in January and probably did so in order to place it, since there are no other publications in his profile. It is also impossible to find an image from an ad in an Internet search.

Thus, propagandists want to intimidate Ukrainians in the West and transfer the role of the aggressor to Western countries. They are trying to justify their aggression by “the actions of the West”. Like, today the West helps you, and tomorrow it takes your lands. Detector Media explained how Russians use this narrative in the context of Poland.

Propagandists are spreading an alleged message from the Russian-language edition of Radio Svoboda (Liberty). According to it, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said: “Zelenskyi's widow will be able to obtain US citizenship on an expedited basis”. It's fake.

Analysts of the Georgian project MythDetector drew attention to it. They contacted Radio Svoboda (Liberty), where they denied the existence of such a publication. In addition, they could not find a similar quote even in open sources. Distributed images have a publication date of February 23rd. On that day, the Radio did publish a message about Victoria Nuland, but it concerned the supply of fighter jets to Kyiv. Nuland's photo used in the fake can be found in one of the publication's materials for February 17, which refers to US support for strikes on Russian military facilities in Crimea. The project’s analysts also found out the original source of the fake, the Facebook account “Nona Sharabidze”, which quite often spreads Russian disinformation.

Thus, propagandists want to demoralize Ukrainian society and discredit the Ukrainian authorities. Like, the “Kyiv regime” headed by Zelenskyi are traitors who are ready to “sell” the country in any case and flee to the States. Detector Media has already explained how propagandists are trying to devalue the government of Ukraine using the phrase “Kyiv regime”.

Such a message was circulated on social networks, in particular on telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric. The report says that during the visit of the President of the United States of America Joe Biden to Kyiv, he met with Zelenskyi's “double”. Like, the real president is hiding from possible Russian missile attacks. The authors of the messages add to the publication a photo from the meeting of Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Olena Zelenska and Joe Biden near the Mariinskyi Palace. According to the authors, one of the photographs shows how the “real” Zelenskyi is hiding in the premises of the Mariinskyi Palace during the air raid alert. At the same time, the “double” along with the first lady greets Joe Biden. It is not true.

Analysts from the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National security and defense council investigated this case and found that this statement is unfounded, because the photos show Zelenskyi’s bodyguard who is following the course of events during the meeting. Analysts are sure that this is another stuffing and conspiracy theory from Russian propaganda.

By spreading such a fake, propagandists want to discredit Zelenskyi, who allegedly creates doubles for himself. Previously, propagandists spread messages about fake graffiti with Zelenskyi in public places, fake magazine covers, etc.

Such a message was circulated on social networks, including telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric. The report says that the Russian military on the battlefield has already destroyed the first Leopard tank with the help of Russian equipment. The authors attach to the publication the testimonies of the so-called “foreign mercenaries” who were allowed to drive the tank. It is not true.

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council explains that this statement is not true, since not a single Leopard is even on the battlefield yet. Accordingly, the testimonies of “foreign mercenaries” are also false.

By spreading this fake, propagandists want to distort reality and show that Ukraine is constantly losing and even powerful equipment does not help, because the Russians are successfully destroying it. In addition, Russian propaganda has repeatedly spread manipulations about so-called foreign mercenaries in Ukraine. Thus, propaganda wants to create an appearance that is actually at war not with Ukraine, but with the so-called collective West.

We recall that earlier Detector Media refuted the fake about the destruction of the American M1 Abrams tank near Soledar and explained the message in which they claimed that only the foreign legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine uses foreign equipment on the field of battle.

Such information was disseminated in social networks, in particular, in telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric. Reports say that allegedly in one of the Texas private zoos, one can take a picture with a monkey named Zelenskyi for $5. Users publish photos of the monkey and tables with information about it. The authors of the report add that the monkey is dressed in “characteristic for Zelenskyi’s clothes”: a green sweater with an embroidered coat of arms of Ukraine, in this way drawing a parallel with the military uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It's a lie.

Analysts from the VoxCheck project investigated this case and found that the photo with the monkey data was edited using a graphic editor. Analysts tried to find the photo due to a reverse search on Google Images. Among the search results are only publications in Russian media and messages in Russian social networks that are blocked in Ukraine. In the Ukrainian segment or foreign, such a photo was not published.

Fact-checkers also found the original photo and made sure: the photo was reflected in the photo editor, the color of the monkey's outerwear was changed and the State Emblem of Ukraine was added.

By spreading such a fake, propagandists want to discredit Zelenskyi, who is allegedly despised in the West. Previously, propagandists spread messages about fake graffiti with Zelenskyi in public places, fake magazine covers, etc.

Such information was disseminated in social networks, in particular, in telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric. Reports say that upon Joe Biden's arrival in Warsaw, when getting off the plane, he caught on the stairs and fell down. The authors of the messages add that “this is the president's foreign policy”. A video is added to the publication, where you can see that Joe Biden is rolling down the stairs. It is not true.

Analysts of the MythDetector project investigated this case and found that Joe Biden is not depicted on the distributed shot. In a video broadcast by the Polish TV channel TVN24, one can see that it was actually one of the members of the US delegation who fell while trying to go down. Analysts explain that this shot was cut from a TVN24 special, but the full version is freely available. Therefore, one can watch it and make sure that a member of the delegation fell, leaving the back of the plane, and Joe Biden got out of the front without any incidents.

Propagandists systematically spread fakes about Ukrainian partners in order to discredit them. Thus, Russian propaganda uses the tactics of ridicule and tries to create the illusion that Ukrainian partners are despised. Drawing parallels with the so-called fall and the results of “foreign policy”, the authors of the messages want to emphasize that the decisions of the West on Russia are “meaningless and unworthy of attention”.

The Russian media disseminate information that due to the Ukrainians who left Ukraine because of Russian aggression, the use of the Russian language in Germany has allegedly increased. It is allegedly evidenced by the recently released data from the Destatis, Federal statistical office. It is not true.

The studies cited by the Russian media were conducted in 2021, that is, even before the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Moreover, the document states that the study does not reflect the possible consequences of changes in the German population due to Russian aggression, since only 2021 data was analyzed. Russian propaganda does not provide any explanation of how exactly the Ukrainian refugees influenced the use of different languages in Germany.

As StopFake explains, propagandists cite survey results showing that 80% of the German population only speak German at home, 15% also use one or more additional languages, and 5% do not use German at all in their families. The study showed that families who are not native German speakers use Turkish (15%), Russian (13%), Arabic (10%), Polish (7%) and English (6%) in everyday life. Similar data for 2022 is still being processed, they have not been published anywhere.

Like, the Polish military would like to go to the front under their own flag, but NATO will not allow this, because then the North Atlantic Alliance will become a participant in the war. It is also alleged that Poland is adopting a law to legalize “mercenaries” who are already fighting in Ukraine and compensation to the families of the victims. It is not true.

There are no foreign mercenaries in Ukraine. The law on the legalization of Polish mercenaries in Poland is also not being prepared. According to VoxCheck, the authors of the messages refer to the so-called “military” expert and editor of the “Arsenal of the Fatherland" publication Oleksii Leonkov, who systematically promotes Russian and Belarusian propaganda narratives. Leonkov does not provide any evidence to support his words about the arrival of the Polish military in Ukraine under the guise of mercenaries and PVK employees.

Fake stories about foreign mercenaries in Ukraine have been repeatedly refuted. The propagandists claimed that the military from the EU countries fought on the territory of Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion, or the number of foreigners in the Ukrainian army would soon exceed 50%. To confirm the message about Polish mercenaries in Ukraine, Russian propaganda disfigured the quote by the Minister of Defense of Poland. The Russians claimed that in Poland they began to openly recruit Ukrainian tank troops. It was also said that Polish professional soldiers were dying in Ukraine, and a special cemetery had allegedly been created for them. Thus, propagandists are trying to downplay the combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian army, which has been resisting the Russians for a year now, and explain their own failures by the fact that they are allegedly fighting against a stronger enemy than they expected.

In the foreign segment of social networks, videos of alleged protests in Ukraine are being distributed. Like, Ukrainians are protesting against Zelenskyi, in whom they were disappointed during the year of the war. According to correspondents, the rallies took place day and night. This video is fake.

The protests in the video have nothing to do with Ukraine or Zelenskyi. This is a video of protests in Slovakia in 2018 and 2019 as a result of the murder of a journalist. The fact checker of the Dpa-factchecking project drew attention to the spread of the fake. They found out that on February 21, 2018, the Slovak investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kushnirova were killed. This murder led to mass protests in Slovakia, specifically on March 9, 2018, March 16, 2018 and February 21, 2019. These protests led to the resignations of the chief of police and the ministers of justice, internal affairs and culture.

We recall that in Ukraine, during martial law, restrictions were imposed on holding mass events and a curfew was introduced. Russian propaganda is trying in any way to destabilize the situation inside Ukraine and discredit Ukraine and Ukrainians at the international level.

In social networks and telegram channels, messages are spreading allegedly about large-scale protests in Copenhagen. Users claim that they are allegedly protesting against the provision of weapons to Ukraine. It's fake.

There were indeed protests in Denmark, but they have nothing to do with the supply of weapons to Ukraine. According to VoxCheck, these are rallies against the abolition of the state holiday, which took place on February 6. The Danish government has proposed abolishing the public holiday on the Day of Great Prayer on 5 May. According to officials, this will help to quickly increase the country's defense budget. In response, the unions protested. There was no talk of the need to increase the defense budget through military assistance to Ukraine. The protesters also did not demand to stop helping Ukraine.

Thus, Russian propaganda is trying to distort information about the level of support for Ukraine abroad. They say that citizens of Western countries are holding rallies demanding to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Previously, propaganda spread fake news about protests in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Moldova, Belgium, etc.

Russian media cite Lieutenant General Ihor Kyrylov, commander of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces of Russia. At the briefing, he said that allegedly during the full-scale invasion, Russia received more than twenty thousand documents confirming the work of American biological laboratories in Ukraine. Like, the Pentagon created components of biological weapons and tested them on Ukrainians and residents of other states bordering Russia. These messages also got into the foreign information space. However, this is not true.

The fact checker of the MythDetector project found out that the “documents” published by the Russian Ministry of defense are not evidence of the creation of biological weapons components in Ukraine. They are available in open sources. Moreover, the appendices to the order are presented without a signature or seal, so they have no official value. Some of these “documents” have been published previously.

The narrative about the development of biological weapons in Ukraine is one of the longest-running Russian propaganda narratives. Detector Media has repeatedly explained the origins of this information and refuted the fakes: the United States conducted training in Ukraine with pathogens of especially dangerous infections; The US has developed a drone that will transport “infected insects”; the work of biolaboratories led to an outbreak of African swine fever in Ukraine; American scientists tested biological preparations on patients in a mental hospital in Kharkiv; The US planned to use Ukrainian birds and mosquitoes to carry diseases to Russia. Russia also used the narrative about American biolabs in Ukraine to justify a full-scale invasion, but there is no real evidence about them.

Russian media and officials are spreading reports according to which French President Emanuel Macron allegedly admitted that he wanted to “overthrow” the government in Russia. Propagandists are sure that he said this during the Munich security conference.

Analysts of the StopFake project drew attention to this message. They analyzed Macron's speech at the Forum and found out that he did not say this. In fact, he emphasized that regime change in Russia seemed to him an unrealistic idea, since the previous experience of regime change in other countries, in his opinion, did not bring an effective result. At the end of his speech, Macron said that he did not understand who the next leader of the regime would be and how to do it.

Thus, Russia again wants to shift the responsibility for its failures to “external forces”. In addition, propagandists often resort to conspiracy theories and in this case we are talking about the theory in which the West wants a power coup in Russia, knocking the country off a successful course. However, this is how the Russian government is trying to make up for its failures, namely the demographic crisis, terrible poverty and the absence of a number of freedoms.

Russian media are spreading reports that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi is allegedly using his daughter as a “live offshore” to acquire real estate abroad. As a result, propagandists claim that Zaluzhnyi's image in the West will “fall” like a house of cards. It's fake.

The Insider drew attention to the case. According to their research, the original source of the fake is anonymous telegram channels broadcasting pro-Russian rhetoric. It was they who had “scans” of registration certificates for villas in Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria and in the Chilean city of Valparaiso. The authenticity of the “scans” is indicated by the English spelling of the name of Zaluzhnyi's daughter as Kristina Zaluzhnaya. Ukrainian documents use Ukrainian transliteration of names, respectively, the true option is Khrystyna Zaluzhna. In addition, the analysts of the VoxUkraine project checked the cadastral codes for real estate indicated in the “evidence” and found out that they are fake.

Thus, Russian propaganda wants to undermine the reputation of the Ukrainian military leadership abroad and cause discouragement among Ukrainians.

The allegedly new cover of the German humor magazine Eulenspiegel is being circulated online. The cover illustrated representatives of the LGBTI community and Ukrainians holding on to the Olympic rings with the inscription: “Tug of war during the Olympic Games!”. It is not true.

Analysts of the VoxCheck project investigated this case and found that there are no issues with such a cover on the website of the magazine and on pages in social networks.

Ukraine may boycott the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris due to the position of the International Olympic Committee and the admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions. Volodymyr Zelenskyi wrote a letter to French President Emmanuel Macron and called on the organizers not to allow Russia to use “any other international sporting event to promote aggression or its own state chauvinism”.

Propagandists spread this fake to show how Ukraine is not supported by foreign countries and believe that it is “pulling the rope on itself”, that is, it wants to get more attention, for example, to increase international support.

Such a fake was spread on social networks and social networks that broadcast pro-Kremlin rhetoric. The report says that before the visit of US President Joseph Biden, the inhabitants of Kyiv were handed out instructions on how to properly communicate with Americans, what can and cannot be done. Authors of messages add a so-called postcard with instructions. It is not true.

The Center for strategic communications noted that the Ukrainian authorities did not create such postcards, so they were fabricated. In addition, the instruction is full of spelling and lexical errors, for example: “you don’t need to run” or “how a Ukrainian should behave in a  meeting”. This indicates that the authors of the messages used automatic translation to create a supposedly official postcard of the local authorities.

Moreover, the Ukrainian leadership did not announce the meeting with the US President in advance. The authors created this “postcard” already at the time when the visit was officially discussed.

By spreading this fake, propagandists want to ridicule Ukrainians and make them look chucklesome. Allegedly, the Ukrainian leadership, before Joe Biden's trip to Ukraine, made sure that Ukrainians were not ridiculed.

Such a fake was spread on social networks, in particular in telegram channels broadcasting pro-Russian rhetoric. Reports say that Ukrainian fighters came for military training with their wives. Like, the men of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking their wives at the expense of taxes paid by the British. As evidence, the authors of the messages cite a photo published by the British Ministry of defense, which depicts a woman with military personnel.

Analysts from the VoxCheck project examined the case and found that there is no evidence that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived in the UK with their wives at the expense of the Ministry of defense. Probably, there was also a soldier in the photo, and this is not unusual, because both women and men serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Minister of defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, as of the end of 2022, 59,786 women served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of these, about 19 thousand are civilian workers (in the field of medicine, office work, communications, finance and administration), and the rest are military personnel. Also, about 5 thousand women are directly involved in hostilities.

Such a fake was spread on social networks and in propaganda media broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric. Reports say that Volodymyr Zelenskyi allegedly “confessed that he did not plan to implement the Minsk agreements” and that “peace was not part of Ukraine's plans”. The authors of the messages refer to the interview with Zelenskyi in the French edition of Le Figaro and the German magazine Der Spiegel. It is not true.

Analysts of the StopFake project drew attention to this case and found that during the interview, Zelenskyi did not make any statements that peace was not part of Ukraine's plans. On the contrary, the Ukrainian President once again emphasized that it was Russia that did not comply with the agreement and gradually aggravated the conflict.

Answering a question about the effectiveness and expediency of the Minsk agreements, Zelenskyi noted that the document was drafted in such a way as to freeze the Russian invasion in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In his opinion, the agreements cannot be completed without the loss of Ukrainian territories. Therefore, it was not possible to fully adhere to the Minsk agreements to meet the needs of both parties. In addition, Zelenskyi did not say that he wanted war and tried to provoke it.

By spreading this fake, propagandists justify Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Allegedly, the Ukrainian leadership, led by Zelenskyi, wanted to fight and provoked Russia to invade. Thus, the Russians seek to present Ukraine as an aggressor, from which they had to defend themselves.

We recall that the Minsk agreements are a series of three documents that were signed during 2014-2015. The documents provided for steps to resolve the war in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In particular, it included clauses on a ceasefire, granting a special status to the territories temporarily occupied by Russia. Detector Media also analyzed the message of Russian propaganda, which said that Ukraine could have avoided war if it had followed the Minsk agreements.

This thesis was circulated on social networks, in particular on telegram channels broadcasting pro-Kremlin rhetoric. The report says that Russia's main task is to become a safe haven for “normal people”. With all its actions, the Russian leadership only wants to show that their country is “an island of common sense in this crazy world”.

However, this rhetoric masks the true face of the terrorist country. Saying that Russia wants to protect all the people of the world, it has committed and is committing war crimes. In particular, on the territory of Ukraine, since the beginning of the war in 2014, Russia has been causing devastation: destroying Ukrainian cities and villages, killing thousands of Ukrainians, in particular children. At the same time, propagandists are building an imaginary curtain between the whole world and Russia, saying that there are enemies on the other side. Consequently, they instill hatred in Russians for almost all peoples.

Thus, the authors of the messages justify the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and promote the narrative that Ukraine needs protection and assistance from Russia. As if Russia is ready to help Ukraine and lend its hand.

Such a fake was spread on social networks, including the Georgian segment of Facebook. The report says that a rally was held in Poland, where Ukrainians asked Putin for help. The authors of the message add to the publication a photo where people are holding a poster with the inscription: “Putin, give us back common sense”. It is not true.

Analysts of the Myth Detector project investigated this case and found that the photo was taken using a graphic editor, the inscription was superimposed on the original photo. The real photo was taken in Warsaw during the Euromaidan protests in Ukraine in 2014. The rally was organized by the public movement “Euromaidan” in Warsaw. The participants went to the Embassy of Ukraine in Warsaw and honored the memory of those who died during the events of the Revolution of Dignity. Deputies of the Polish Seimas, in particular, joined the action.

The real photos show posters with the following slogans: “Support of the Poles’ hearts is the result of the Ukrainians’s gratitude” and “Let us unite in the fight against the aggression of a common enemy - Putin”.

Such a fake was spread on social networks, in particular in telegram channels broadcasting pro-Russian rhetoric. Reports say that Ukrainian children are not allowed out of Ukraine, in particular, underage boys. The authors of the messages add that this is how the Ukrainian authorities prepare children for mobilization, because the war will be long-term - until the last Ukrainian. As evidence, the authors refer to another telegram channel of the Ukrainian segment, in which Ukrainians allegedly complain that their young children are not allowed through the checkpoint, and customs officials deny any explanation. It is not true.

Analysts of the VoxCheck project drew attention to this case and determined that in fact children are released from Ukraine abroad, they are not subject to mobilization. At the same time, the telegram channel quoted by the propagandists does not exist at all. Fact-checkers are convinced that the screenshot was taken using a graphics editor.

The fake screenshot shows the so-called channel messages, for example: “My daughter and I were let through, our son is gone”. Analysts say that “... our son is gone” is an automatic translation from the Russian phrase “There is no son” (that is, they did not let the son go). In Ukrainian, this phrase should have sounded “My daughter and I were let through, but our son was not”.

By spreading this fake, the propagandists are once again promoting the message of total mobilization in Ukraine. Like, there is no one to fight, so even minors are mobilized. At the same time, they are promoting the previously widespread thesis about “war against the last Ukrainian”, which confirms the alleged indifference of the Ukrainian authorities and the so-called Western curators to the Ukrainian people.

A video allegedly of fires in the “military registration and enlistment office” of the Shevchenko district of Kharkiv is being distributed on social networks. They say that Kharkiv “military personnel” cannot withstand the “hot” mobilization campaign. The reports note that allegedly the building was deliberately set on fire by “partisans”. It is not true.

The fact-checkers of the Kharkiv anti-corruption center managed to identify the video from social networks. The results of the check indicate that this is a video of a fire in Moscow back in 2014. Then the house where the builders lived burned down. That is, this video has nothing to do with either Kharkiv or the Territorial recruitment and social support centers (former military enlistment offices).

Russian propaganda deliberately spreads fakes and manipulates the topic of mobilization in Ukraine. Thus, they put emotional pressure on Ukrainians. Previously, propagandists claimed that the Territorial recruitment centers were illegal structures, so handing draft notices by them was also illegal.

The telegram channels are distributing a photo of the stand, where they allegedly posted announcements for Ukrainian military personnel studying in Germany from the German Ministry of Defense. It states that in Germany, displaying a Nazi swastika or other symbols associated with fascism is punishable by up to three years in prison or a heavy fine. The comments say that this “memo” was allegedly hung on the building of the Bundeswehr to warn the Ukrainian military. In other reports, they specify that they are talking about Ukrainian tankers who went to take possession of German tanks. These messages entered the Ukrainian information space through pro-Russian and occupation telegram channels. It's fake.

According to Ukrinform, the German special training command denied the existence of such an announcement. In addition, reports say that an announcement for Ukrainians is hanging on the building of the Bundeswehr. Its offices are in Berlin, Bonn and Potsdam. At the same time, Ukrainian tankers are being trained at the School of tank troops in Münster. That is, the nearest building of the Bundeswehr is more than 300 kilometers away.

Propagandists systematically spread fakes and manipulations that nourish the narrative of Nazism in Ukraine. Earlier it was said that in Kyiv volunteers were openly recruited into the Nazi brigades, and the Ukrainian military was awarded “Nazi” awards. Propagandists also claimed that the military uses Nazi symbols on uniforms and equipment. Thus, the propagandists are trying to identify the Ukrainians with the crimes of the Nazis and use the tactics of dividing the Ukrainians.

Information is spreading on social networks that a Ukrainian medical equipment store allegedly advertises wheelchairs as an opportunity to avoid mobilization. The ad image was intentionally edited in a photo editor. The chain of stores of medical equipment, orthopedic products and health products Med-magazin.ua noted on its Facebook page that it had never used such content to advertise the store. In addition, the company noticed that the fake image was mainly distributed in Russian groups. StopFake's fact-checkers made sure that the chain of stores had never really created such advertising campaigns on social networks. The store now has four active advertising campaigns, but none of them is about “the ability to avoid mobilization”.

Russian propaganda systematically manipulates the topic of mobilization. They say that women, children and even dogs are forcibly mobilized in Ukraine, and the hunt for men continues. Thus, propagandists are trying to form a negative attitude of Ukrainians towards military service and discredit the Ukrainian army.

A video allegedly from the news program of an American TV channel is being distributed on social networks. On it, the hosts talk about “a puppy from Ohio who got the attention of the whole country”. Against the background of their conversation, there is a story about the trip of Volodymyr Zelenskyi to the UK. In the comments, social media users write that Zelenskyi is openly ridiculed already on American television. This video is fake.

A video montage of a news story with a video recording of Volodymyr Zelenskyi is being distributed on social networks. According to the fact-checkers of MythDetector, in this video, the hosts of the KCCI TV channel talk about a puppy that signaled to its owner from the car. It went viral on social media in February 2017. The propagandists intentionally edited it with a video recording of the President of Ukraine.

Thus, Russian propaganda uses the tactics of ridicule to discredit the President of Ukraine. Previously, propagandists spread messages about fake graffiti with Zelenskyi in public places, fake magazine covers, etc.

In the Russian media and occupational telegram channels, reports are spreading that allegedly Ukraine is massively bringing foreign mercenaries to Kharkov. The reports refer to “military expert” Andrii Marochko and the so-called “Luhansk intelligence”. They write that allegedly all the mercenaries are dressed in civilian clothes, but they have the same army-type backpacks with them. These people allegedly speak English, German, French and Polish. Also in the messages they write that under the guise of “mercenaries”, military personnel of other states come to Kharkiv. It's fake.

There is no evidence to support such reports. The fact-checkers of the Kharkiv anti-corruption center drew attention to the spread of the fake. Foreigners who have signed the relevant contract are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Otherwise, foreigners fight as volunteers, that is, they do not receive any financial reward from Ukraine. Russia uses the term “mercenaries” to substitute concepts.

Also, Russian propaganda systematically feeds the narrative that military personnel of other states are fighting in Ukraine. Recently, propagandists wrote that the military from the EU countries fought on the territory of Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion; Western countries are allegedly sending soldiers to Ukraine with weapons. Thus, Russian propaganda is also trying to justify the failures of the Russian army, in particular during the liberation of the Kharkiv region. Like, they are fighting not with “weak” Ukrainians, but with “specially trained NATO members” or Americans.
